Rules & Regulations
At Sri Sundareswara Vidya Sala Matriculation Higher Secondary School, discipline and values form the foundation of our academic culture. Every student is expected to uphold the dignity of the institution by following the rules and regulations designed to ensure safety, respect, and a conducive learning environment.
General Discipline
- Students must arrive at school on time and participate in the morning assembly.
- Punctuality and regular attendance are compulsory; frequent absences without valid reasons will not be accepted.
- Leaving the campus during school hours requires prior permission from both parents and the school authorities.
Uniform & Appearance
- Wearing the prescribed school uniform daily is mandatory.
- Shoes must be polished; hair should be neatly groomed (boys with short hair, girls with hair tied back).
- Personal hygiene and neat appearance reflect discipline and respect for the institution.
Classroom Conduct
- Students must listen attentively, participate actively, and avoid disrupting the class.
- Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited unless permitted by teachers for learning purposes.
- Homework and assignments must be completed on time and submitted as instructed.
Attendance & Leave
- Students are required to maintain a minimum attendance percentage to be eligible for examinations.
- Leave applications must be submitted in writing, preferably in advance.
- Prolonged absence due to illness must be supported by a doctor’s certificate.
Respect & Behavior
- Students must show courtesy and respect towards teachers, staff, fellow students, and visitors.
- Any form of bullying, harassment, or misconduct will invite strict disciplinary action.
- Integrity, honesty, and fairness must be maintained at all times.
Examinations & Assessments
- Students must strictly adhere to examination rules—copying or malpractice will lead to disqualification.
- All internal assessments, tests, and project works are compulsory.
- Performance will be monitored continuously to ensure steady progress.
School Property & Cleanliness
- Students are responsible for maintaining school property; damages caused will be charged.
- Cleanliness of classrooms, corridors, and campus is expected from all students.
- Littering, vandalism, or misuse of resources will not be tolerated.
Safety & Health
- In case of illness or emergency, students must inform their class teacher or the office immediately.
- First-aid facilities are available on campus.
- Participation in physical training, yoga, and wellness programs is encouraged for holistic health.
Co-Curricular Participation
- Students must take part in sports, cultural, and extracurricular activities organized by the school.
- Correct uniforms/gear must be worn during PT, sports events, and cultural programs.
Use of Technology
- The computer and internet facilities should only be used under supervision and for educational purposes.
- Misuse of technology or accessing inappropriate content will lead to loss of privileges.
Parent & Guardian Role
- Parents are requested to attend Parent–Teacher Meetings regularly.
- Cooperation between home and school is vital for a child’s growth.
- Communication with the school must always be respectful and constructive.
